Slogan Writing and Poster Making Competition

NSS Unit of GDC Mahanpur in collaboration with EVS Department and ECO Club has organised Slogan Writing and Poster Making Competition on 22nd May, 2024. The Programme was organised to celebrate International Biodiversity Day, 2024. The theme of this year’s International Biodiversity Day is “Be Part of the Plan”. It was organised by Dr. Rupalee Jasrotia, NSS P.O. and Dr. Nishu, H.O.D. EVS Department under the able guidance of Dr. Sangeeta Sudan, Principal of the College. The NSS volunteers not only participated in the Competition but also presented their posters and slogans in front of the judges. Shivani Devi, Isha Devi, Rekha Devi, Puship and Payal participated in the Competition. Moreover, Dr. Nishu also delivered a special lecture on the topic “Conservation Strategies: Protecting Endangered Species and Habitat”. She stressed on need to review successful conservation programmes, protected areas and community based conservation efforts. The faculty members who were present in the programme were Dr. Mohindar, Dr. J.S. Soodan, Dr. Sapna, Dr. Anil, Dr. Hilal, Dr. Suman and Dr. Ajay. Refreshment was given to all the volunteers.
